About Ivan and Hague Homes and Carpentry
Ivan Hague is the carpenter and owner behind Hague Homes and Carpentry. Born and raised in Brisbane's bayside, he came to the trade a little differently. He started out studying engineering before following the tools into a mature-age carpentry apprenticeship, and that background gives him a problem-solver's eye and a real respect for getting the details right.
Ivan has honed his craft under several respected local builders and has spent years on extensive renovations, including heritage-overlay homes and commercial projects, where careful, code-compliant work matters most. He knows the relevant building codes well, including accessibility and NDIS requirements, so the job is done properly the first time.
A family man at heart, Ivan has a particular passion for turning houses into functional, comfortable family homes, the kind of spaces that genuinely work for the people living in them. Perhaps it's in the blood: his dad ran a local hardware store for a time, and Ivan grew up around timber, tools and the trades. Today he brings that same hands-on care and attention to detail to every job, large or small.
